What #NAME? means
Excel does not recognize some text in your formula. In Spanish versions of Excel the same error appears as #¿NOMBRE?.
Common causes
- A function name is misspelled.
- An English function name was typed in Spanish Excel, or the other way round (for example VLOOKUP instead of BUSCARV).
- The function does not exist in your version of Excel (XLOOKUP in older versions, for example).
- Text is missing its quotes, or a named range does not exist.
How to fix it
- Check the spelling of every function name.
- Paste the formula into FormulaCheck to translate it to the language of your Excel.
- Put text values inside straight quotes and check your named ranges.
